The East London Arts and Music (ELAM) campus officially opened in Bromley-by-Bow in June. The specialist arts academy was founded in 2013 in Stratford by one of half of Chase & Status Will Kennard (ELAM founding governor) (pictured) and his brother Charlie (ELAM principal).

The full-time academy is for students aged 16-19 years old who are interested in careers in the music, film, TV and games industries. ELAM works closely with the music business including Universal, which helps run masterclasses and mentoring schemes. Last year, the school received a £314,000 gift from The BRIT Trust which went towards building a theatre on the new site.

The school has space for 300 pupils and 40 staff members. It features five world-class recording studios, three games design production suites and TV and film production studios in conjunction with YouTube.

Address: 45 Maltings Close, Bromley By Bow, London E3 3TA. – Nearest Tube Bromley By Bow.

Visitors to London

The ELAM Academy is next to Bromley By Bow tube station on both the District and Hammersmith and City Lines. In the London Borough of Tower Hamlets, it is close to the Blackwall Tunnel Northern Approach Road. There are no international hotels nearby and we recommend that you book a hotel with easy access to the District Line in Aldgate or Whitechapel or near the London Docklands Light Railway which intersects with the District Line 1 station from Bromley by Bow at Bow Church.
